The Cronese Sweeps were a conquering campaign by the Tionese noble and pirate Xer within the Cronese Mandate before the creation of the Galactic Republic.

PreludeEdit

Following the defeat of King Ferece at Chandaar, Xer installed himself as the new King of Cron and launched a campaign to take complete control of the Kingdom of Cron.^[1]

The campaignEdit

Xer began his campaign by sending warlords and nobles he considered worthy into battle against rebellious Cronese worlds and independent planets on the kingdom's borders, taking their heirs hostage as guarantees of loyalty. The incompetents were eliminated with their families and followers.^[1]

However, the most-feared warlord of the Cronese Sweeps was Xer's teenage son, Xim. Xim and his legions legions became famous after his brutality during the conquests of Pasmin, Eibon and Nuswatta^[1] and the slaughter of Cronese nobility.^[3]

AftermathEdit

The Cronese Sweeps created a united and powerful Kingdom of Cron, boasting a battle-tested starfleet. Xer soon thought to expand his territory in the entire Tion Cluster.^[1]

Behind the scenesEdit

The Essential Atlas erroneously refers to the Sweeps as occurring in 25,120 BBY, a decade after Xer's son Xim had already assumed the throne.
