CryoBan was a chemical compound used in carbon-freezing. In its processed form, it created intense cold that could damage living organisms by absorbing all heat in an area. The chemical compound was also used in the WW-41 CryoBan grenade, a model of grenade manufactured by Merr-Sonn Munitions, Inc.,[1] and in the CryoBan rifle, a rifle manufactured by the Loronar Corporation.[2]
Behind the scenes[]
CryoBan was first mentioned in the new Star Wars canon in Fully Operational,[1] a 2018 sourcebook for the Star Wars: Age of Rebellion roleplaying game published by Fantasy Flight Games.[3] It originated in the Star Wars Legends continuity, where it first appeared in Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, a 2003 roleplaying video game developed by BioWare and published by LucasArts.[4]
