Csaplar was the capital city of the planet Csilla and the Chiss Ascendancy. Csaplar was the center of the Chiss government, containing House Palace, the Expeditionary Library, the parliament, the headquarters for the Chiss Expansionary Defense Force, and the four ruling families.

Csaplar was connected to every location of Csilla through an underground system of tubes.^[1]
