Cunning of Tyranus was a unique red lightsaber crystal named for the Human Separatist leader Count Dooku, whose Sith Lord title was Darth Tyranus. When used in the construction of a lightsaber, it colored the blade red. Once tuned by a Force-sensitive, it became a focusing crystal and could only be used in a lightsaber constructed by the individual who tuned it.

Cunning of Tyranus was a unique lightsaber crystal available to players in the 2003 MMORPG Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided. Players of the Jedi profession could use this crystal in their lightsaber, which gave the weapon a heat-based damage bonus. The crystal was obtained through the "rare loot system," which allowed players to find increasingly rare items from any enemy in the game.
