Curtis Saxton
Curtis Saxton is an avid fan of the Star Wars universe. To further his hobby, he created the Star Wars Technical Commentaries, a set of detailed documents exploring the nature and limits of the technology of Star Wars. The first articles of the website went online in February 1995.
Dr. Saxton holds a doctorate in astrophysics from the University of Sydney. He is currently conducting postdoctoral research at the Mullard Space Science Laboratory, University College London.
He has written two technical reference books on Star Wars, served as a named consultant on two more, and provided technical input on others.
A fan term "Saxtonite" or "Saxtonism" refers to supporters and the methodology of Saxton and his work, notably the Star Wars Technical Commentaries, considered wrong by some. It is therefore usually used in a pejorative sense.[source?]
