Curtis Saxton

Dr. Curtis Saxton is an avid fan of the Star Wars universe with a particular interest in the technology of the Galaxy far, far away. To further his hobby, he created the Star Wars Technical Commentaries, a set of detailed documents exploring the nature and limits of the technology of the Star Wars universe. The first articles of the website went online in February 1995.

Dr. Saxton holds a degree in Astrophysics from the University of Sydney, with an inclination to spend his time discussing the potential of future technology. He is currently conducting postdoctoral research at the Mullard Space Science Laboratory, University College London.

He has written two technical reference books on Star Wars, served as a named consultant on two more, and provided technical input on numerous others.
