D.M. Skecher was an individual who lived during or before 1 ABY. He was apparently some sort of artist or designer, because it was said that The Hilltop structure looked similar to his work.

In the MMORPG Star Wars Galaxies, players can complete a collection called "Panoramic Vistas." In this collection, players were given a clue as to how to find a place called "The Hilltop," stating that it looked similar to the work of D.M. Skecher.

The name D.M. Skecher is probably a tongue-in-cheek reference to the real life M.C. Escher.
