D516 was a menacing assassin droid distinguished by its treaded movement system. Produced by Sienar Technologies during the final decades of the Galactic Republic, the D516 model was equipped with a blaster carbine and needler gun, in addition to its heavy armor plating. Its sophisticated sensor systems employed infrared technology that allowed the droid to effectively target organic beings.
