The DC-19 "Stealth" carbine was a blaster used by Republic shadow troopers in place of the DC-15 blaster.
The DC-19 differed in that it had a number of unique technologies, including a sound suppressor and a switchable alternate fire mode that utilized a special mixture of Tibanna gas, making the bolt invisible to the naked eye.
This effectively made DC-19 fire impossible to detect without the aid of scanning equipment, a great boon to snipers. This invisible tibanna mix had to be reloaded after ten shots, however, and there was a required cooldown time between each individual shot to recharge the dampeners.
This technology was later duplicated in the Xerrol Nightstinger, used by Imperial commandos.
