A modified DH-17 pistol, the BlasTech DH-23 "Outback" blaster pistol was built with one principle in mind—durability. Although the DH-23 was inferior to the DH-17 in several respects, including range and stun capability, the weapon featured a more effective heat shroud and tighter construction, making it difficult to break or damage.
