Dael was a Human male commander and major of Base D-55, a Galactic Republic base on the planet of Dantooine. During the war, Dael was stationed on Dantooine after the Treaty of Coruscant was completed. Dael was convinced that the contract would not last long and disobeyed a deduction on Dantooine. Shortly afterwards, he received a message from Grand Master Satele Shan and Lieutenant Harron Tavus. They convinced him to call in a retreat, but Dael was not willing to budge from his opinion.
