Dalus Othona was the Provost of the University of Alderaan in 22 BBY. That year, the university's Dean, Halcor Raystel, caused a three-month scandal when it came to light that he was addicted to ryll spice and had offered class credits in exchange for sexual favors to two female students. Following an investigation into the matter, Othona censured and suspended Raystel from office.[1]

Published in-universe on the fourteenth day of the third month in 22 BBY, the article, entitled "Dean of Aldera Suspended",[1] was written by Pablo Hidalgo and Paul Ens.[2] Othona's gender and species were not specified in the article.[1]
