Dampen Force was a way to block Force powers of others through use of the Force. When used, it was sometimes referred to as a cold, wet, blanket. However, it didn't block the entire use of the Force and was temporary. Hethrir was a known user of Dampen Force, using it to control the children he kidnapped for his Empire Reborn movement. The victim could not control objects bigger than molecules when affected by Dampen Force.
