Dané was a Human female in training to become one of the elite handmaidens serving the Queen of Naboo. Trained by Panaka, she was a competent fighter.

At the age of 17, she was a member of the Naboo Underground and played a minor role in defending Naboo from Trade Federation forces in 32 BBY. She also participated in Operation: Clodhopper as a part of Naboo Customs forces in 31 BBY.
