Dark Empire collects all six issues from the Dark Empire series of comics. It was released May 1, 1993. A Dark Empire Trade Paperback Preview was released on March 5, 1996. The trade paperback contains a foreword by Kevin J. Anderson detailing current—for the time—development of the Expanded Universe, in addition to endnotes covering many more plot points of the Star Wars universe not covered in the six collected comics.
