Daroe was a male Jawa who hailed from the planet Tatooine.^[1] He lived in that planet's spaceport town of Mos Eisley, and worked as an informant for the Galactic Empire during the Galactic Civil War.^[2] Daroe frequently spoke with his Imperial contact, to whom he reported the Alliance to Restore the Republic's activities in the Outer Rim Territories.^[1]

Daroe had inside connections with the Empire,^[1] and he was one of their many informants.^[2] Daroe's equipment included an ion blaster. He had yellow eyes.^[1]
