"Take the shuttle down to fifty meters. And when I exit, you may leave."
―Darth Malgus to his pilot[src]

A shuttle was used by the Sith Lord Darth Malgus during, and soon after, the Great Galactic War. Malgus used the shuttle to leave the planet Alderaan following a battle there. In the year 3,653 BBY, shortly after the Sith sacked the Republic capital of Coruscant, he used it again to transport him around the Imperial-occupied planet. The shuttle had a single pilot and an intership comm.

DescriptionEdit

The Sith Lord Darth Malgus's personal shuttle was operated by a single pilot and could carry at least one passenger. An intership comm unit allowed the pilot to communicate with Malgus.[1]

HistoryEdit

An Imperial shuttle was used by the Sith Lord Darth Malgus. After his defeat at the Battle of Alderaan, he was picked up and carried away in his shuttle. While on board the vessel and en route to rendezvous with the rest of the Sith Empire's retreating forces, Malgus sensed a Jedi in the ruins of an Alderaanian city, and the Sith Lord ordered his pilot to turn around and lower the ship. Malgus overrode the safeties on the landing ramp in order to exit and face the Jedi while the shuttle was still in the air. The shuttle hovered above while Malgus finished his fight.[3]

Malgus's shuttle was again used shortly after the Sacking of Coruscant[1] in 3,653 BBY,[2] when the Sith Lord was taken to the Jedi Temple on the galactic capital of Coruscant. There he planned to confront Jedi Knight Aryn Leneer, whom he had been ordered to kill by his superior, Lord Darth Angral. The shuttle circled at an altitude of one hundred meters above the Temple for hours until Leneer arrived, at which time it descended to fifty meters and allowed Malgus to debark and face Leneer. After Leneer escaped the battle, Malgus recalled his shuttle and was taken to the planet's Liston Spaceport to intercept the Jedi and to retrieve his lover, Eleena Daru. During the flight, the back of the shuttle was nearly destroyed by Malgus when his pilot informed him that a peace accord had been reached with the Galactic Republic at the Alderaan peace conference. As soon as the shuttle arrived at the spaceport, Malgus bounded off the shuttle in search of Daru.[1]

Commanders and crewEdit

The shuttle had a single pilot, who transported Darth Malgus where he needed to go.[1]

Behind the scenesEdit

Darth Malgus's personal shuttle first appeared in Paul S. Kemp's short story The Old Republic: The Third Lesson, which was published in Star Wars Insider 124 on March 2, 2011. The shuttle appeared a second time in Kemp's novel Star Wars: The Old Republic: Deceived, published on March 22, 2011.
