Darth Vader's meditation chamber
From Wookieepedia, the Star Wars wiki.
Darth Vader's meditation chamber was a specialized room in various locations in the galaxy for Darth Vader's personal use after his injuries on Mustafar during the duel with Obi-Wan Kenobi. Inside the spherical pod, Vader would be able to remove his mask and allow his scarred face to feel fresh air. His helmet and mask would be clamped by mechanical servos and would maintain the device.
Through airtubes that ran beneath it, the meditation chamber would pour in gas mixes and oxygen that would allow Vader to breathe without his mask.
The chamber also had its own communications systems, providing Vader with direct video feeds to various locations. Just outside the chamber was holographic communications chamber for transmissions between himself and Emperor Palpatine.
Vader maintained a meditation chamber on board his flagship, the Executor as well as inside Bast Castle on Vjun. His meditation chamber on board the Executor was destroyed when the destroyer plunged into the side of the second Death Star. His Meditation Chamber on Vjun remained intact well into the New Republic, where the Dark Jedi Tavion and her apprentice Rosh Penin drained the Force energy with the Scepter of Ragnos. The Force energy was returned to the chamber following Tavion's death and destruction of the scepter.
