Darth Vader: Dark Lord of the Sith 13: Burning Seas, Part I is the thirteenth issue in Star Wars: Darth Vader: Dark Lord of the Sith, a comic book series by Marvel Comics. It was written by Charles Soule and was released on March 14, 2018.
The comic states that three years have passed since the proclamation of the New Order, despite the Sixth Brother's death in the novel Ahsoka, which is set just one year after the Empire's formation. Lucasfilm Story Group member Matt Martin clarified the issue on Twitter, stating that the comic should read one year instead of three. The comic also refers to Wilhuff Tarkin as a Grand Moff, despite the novel Tarkin establishing that the rank was not created until 14 BBY. These continuity errors were fixed in the digital versions of the comic, and they are slated to be fixed for the trade paperback release.
In one panel, Commander Jordo, an Imperial Security Bureau officer in white uniform, is depicted with a standard Imperial military uniform, despite being in the same sequence of events where he was depicted in the standard white ISB uniform. In another panel, Tarkin also appears to refer to Colonel Bergon as Commander Jordo.
