There were two main variants – one with a rocket-powered engine, and another with an ion drive. The second type became vastly more common as the Dark Nest assumed a more active role in the Colony and began making preparations for war.
These fighters were also notorious for their ramming tactics which was used around Qoribu when Dartships in mass rammed a Chiss Ascendancy class Star Destroyer and severely damaged it.
