David (Dave) Land was the editor of several Star Wars comics published by Dark Horse Comics, including General Grievous, Darth Maul, Outlander, and Star Wars Tales 3-20.
[edit] The Real Life Tales Of Dave Land
Dave Land also wrote and starred in short introductory strips in most of his issues of Star Wars Tales, as well as Boba Fett: Agent of Doom. These were pencilled mainly by Lucas Marangon, who also pencilled for several of the stories in Star Wars Tales.
During the course of these Tales, he has been frozen in carbonite twice by Boba Fett, once for attempting to remove Fett's helmet, and once as payback for the freezing in carbonite Fett himself suffered in the Star Wars Infinities: The Empire Strikes Back (which Land himself wrote), where his carbonite-frozen form is used as a desk by Lando Calrissian. On the latter occasion, Land pleads with Fett to let him go as the "Infinities Series is non-canon, and therefore never happened".
