DeSKo was a corporation known for its production of communications infrastructure software during the last decades of the Galactic Republic. The company kept their worker too indoctrinated to the corporate way of life that they were too scared to set out on their own course of action.

This was learned by the slicer Baylan, whom DeSKo unwittingly employed following the Battle of Naboo. Baylan used backdoors he had integrated into the system to gain unauthorized access and tear down the company's infrastructure. He also used his slicing skills to distribute corporate credits into the accounts of DeSKo's workers, though soon realized that they were too scared to do anything with the credits. Nevertheless, Baylan continued to alter DeSKo's corporate bank accounts.
