Deeve was an Arpor-Lan and a scout for the Rebel Alliance.
He learned scouting and tracking skills on his native Arporatal-Lanin. He later joined the Rebel Alliance, where he scouted worlds in the Wild Space and the Unknown Regions to see if they would make good Alliance safe worlds. Apliria was one of his discoveries.
In 1 ABY, Lieutenant Deeve also helped Alliance Support Services to establish New Alderaan.
In 2 ABY, as a member of the The Task Force on Alliance Security, he wrote a report on Yurdak Fav, a potential threat to Rebel scouts.
