Defeat the Dark Side was a unified advertising campaign for three restaurants owned by Tricon Global - KFC, Pizza Hut, and Taco Bell - which went on before and during the release of The Phantom Menace in 1999. It featured mascots from all three franchises at the time, involved in the events surrounding the Battle of Naboo.
Sanders founded KFC, an establishment which apparently served buckets of chicken prepared under a special recipe, which rose in popularity over a number of years. Sanders later served in the Battle of Naboo alongside Pizza Hut Girl and the Chihuahua.
The Human heroine known only as the Pizza Hut Girl was a slicer and martial arts expert from around the time of the Battle of Naboo.
Prior to joining the forces of Pizza Hut, she worked for Micro-Tech, Inc. as a "hardware tester" (a euphemism for "hacker"), and for 2-Rock Concert Promotions as "crowd control." Her studies took her to such far-flung locales as Hong Kong and Tunisia. She was the youngest female graduate of the Citadel.
At the age of 23, the Pizza Hut Girl found her true calling, allowing both her mastery of Tae Kwon Do and her love for pizza to shine by working for Pizza Hut. There, she found herself allied with Harland Sanders and the Chihuahua in an effort to defeat the dark side at the Battle of Naboo.
He tirelessly devoted his life to the pursuit of tacos. This dedication has allowed him to heighten his natural skills of navigation, negotiation and general deviousness. He put his considerable talents to work fighting the ultimate evil in the universe. Because, he rationalized, when the universe is free, the tacos are free. During that time, he was working on the Jedimind trick.
