The Defender sporting blaster was made by the Drearian Defense Conglomerate. It was a low-powered weapon, meant for civilian self-defense and small-game hunting.
The Defender could be disassembled for easy storage, and was very lightweight. It carried enough power for about 100 shots.[1]
Leia Organa wielded such a blaster against stormtroopers during the boarding of the Tantive IV, and would do so again during the Battle of Endor.
