The Defiant was an Imperial-class Star Destroyer serving in the Imperial Remnant Starfleet under the command of Captain Essenton during the Yuuzhan Vong War. It served in the Battle of Borosk against the Yuuzhan Vong where it was fitted with a gravitic amplitude modulator, which managed to jam the signal of yammosk war coordinators. It ultimately destroyed one yammosk-carrying warship-analog and had engaged a second when the Yuuzhan Vong withdrew. Following the battle, the Defiant was among the Star Destroyers ordered deployed to assist in the defense of Yaga Minor.
