The Demici family was one of the six Great Houses of Serenno. Loranda and Hetton were related to the Demici family. The crest of the house was a simple five-point star over a solid background.

It is likely that the name of the Demici family is derived from the Medici family of Florence, a rich, powerful, and influential family during the Renaissance. This possibility is strengthened by the fact that the Medici family crest is similar to the Demici--five dots over a solid background, with a French fleur-de-lis crest at the top.
