Deran Nalual was a female Togruta Jedi Padawan of Siadem Forte during the Clone Wars.

Like her mentor, Nalual was injured during the implementation of Order 66, but survived, albeit blinded as a result. She accompanied her mentor and eight other survivors of the Great Jedi Purge in capturing an SX troop shuttle at Dellalt, although four of the Jedi died under fire from ARC-170s and a light cruiser that gave pursuit. The survivors were eventually rescued by the Drunk Dancer.
Siadem Forte attacked Darth Vader on Kashyyyk during the planet's subjugation, but the Sith decapitated him. Forte was survived by Nalual, who was saddened by the loss. Nalual committed herself to finding a way to subtly sabotage the Galactic Empire.
