Derel was a clone naval officer who served in the Republic Navy during the Clone Wars. Holding the rank of lieutenant, he served as a principal warfare officer of Leveler, under command of Captain Gilad Pellaeon. Pellaeon commented that he wished all the bridge posts on his ship were manned by Clones such as Derel.
