Derra-114 protocol was a code encryption used by the New Republic during the Galactic Civil War. Sometime before the Battle of Folor, Warlord Zsinj's forces managed to crack the code.

During the battle, Wraith Squadron pilot Kell Tainer devised a ploy to divert Admiral Apwar Trigit's capital ship, Implacable, away from the main engagement in order to allow the transport Borleias to launch. He along with fellow Wraith Hohass Ekwesh, Blue Squadron pilots Dorset Konnair and Tetengo Noor, used the Derra-114 protocol and pretended to be Princess Leia Organa and Han Solo escorted by members of Rogue Squadron. Similar to broadcasting in the open, their comm transmissions were picked up by Implacable. Trigit decided to capture the famous rebel heroes and ordered his ship to head to their position, away from the battle.
