The Diamond Desert was a desert on the planet Durace. Durace's abnormal geothermal forces compressed the black sands of the desert into rare jewels, including diamonds. Jewels could be found strewn across the desert's dunes and were often sold for high prices on the galactic market. Predators that dwelt in the Diamond Desert sometimes used these gems as bait, using the jewels to lure their prey to them.
