Dillon was a famous Imperial hero of the Galactic Civil War whose activities had passed into history by the time of the First Order. Captains in the First Order's military wore an armband on their uniform commemorating Dillon.[1] When Resistance member Finn snuck aboard the Supremacy with Rose Tico and DJ to disable the hyperspace tracker, he wore a stolen uniform with Dillon's name.[2] This led to stormtrooper 926 mistaking Finn's stolen uniform as a sign that his former comrade had been promoted to the officers' ranks. As the two were briefly reunited, 926 said that he never took Finn for captain material.[3]
