Director of the Senate Bureau of Intelligence

The Director of the Senate Bureau of Intelligence was in control of the collection of intelligence concerning the security of the Galactic Republic. The Director was accountable to the Galactic Senate of the Republic.
This intelligence was subsequently used in the various committees and subcommittees appointed by the Republic to regulate such matters as smuggling and organized crime. Information was gathered from various sources by Officers of the Bureau.
Immediately prior to and during the Clone Wars, this office was held by Armand Isard until the Bureau and all subsections thereof were dissolved. The office and their various assets were reorganized into Imperial Intelligence upon the fall of the Republic and rise of the Galactic Empire.
