Penetrating deflector shields in unarmed combat[1] |

Disruption gloves were a rare type of glove in use soon after the Jedi Civil War,[1] during a series of conflicts known as the Dark Wars[2] that were fought between the remnants of the Sith Empire and the Galactic Republic. During that time, disruption gloves could sell for
26,000.[1] The gloves were designed to help an individual get through various defenses during unarmed combat by causing additional damage. Like disruptor weapons of their time, the gloves caused damage that penetrated deflector shields. The gloves were a light blue color on the outside and dark brown on the inside.[1]
Behind the scenes
Edit
The disruption gloves first appeared in Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords, a video game by Obsidian Entertainment. In The Sith Lords, the gloves were a rare item that could be found in randomly determined locations throughout the game, and because of this, the player was not guaranteed to find them every time through the game. The gloves granted a very large shield-penetrating damage bonus to unarmed attacks.[1] They also received an entry in Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords: Prima Official Game Guide by Prima Games although they were referred to as "Disruptor gloves".[3]
