This warship was commanded by Loka Hask after he joined the Imperial Navy. He used the ship in his hunt for the famed Rogue Squadron, several months after the Battle of Endor.
The ship was destroyed over Mrlsst by the Gravitic Polarization Beam, in that superweapon's only known use.

The Star Wars Technical Commentaries fan website uses the "provisional" (i.e. fanon) term "Dominator-class Star Destroyer" to describe the class of ship to which the Dominator belongs.
The clearest canon designation for this class of ship is "Interdictor Star Destroyer," which is used in Star Wars Handbook - X-wing: Rogue Squadron as well as Starships of the Galaxy.
The Dominator itself is also described as a "dreadnaught", which suggests that this may possibly be the type elsewhere named as an Interdictor Dreadnaught.
