Dor Reder was a junior Imperial Starfleet officer formerly assigned to the Imperial Star Destroyer Pulsar. He was assigned to the fleet overseeing the construction of the second Death Star.

After the Battle of Endor, his ship was forced to surrender. However, Reder led a group of Imperial troops and stole rebel astrogation data locating many secret Alliance bases. The bases were subsequently obliterated in surprise retaliatory Imperial raids.

After the escape, Reder joined forces with Admiral Drommel to help carry out the attacks on the Alliance bases.

Reder was later given command of the Star Destroyer Krieger, which was last seen in the Hanod system.
