Dornean Braha'ket Fleetworks Conglomerate was a ship manufacturer based out of the planet Dornea. The conglomerate produced several different warships for the independent Dornean Navy during the Galactic Civil War, including the Braha'tok-class gunships, two of which—the Braha'tok and the Torktarak—participated in the Battle of Endor on the side of the Rebel Alliance.

History

The Dornean Braha'ket Fleetworks Conglomerate was a starship manufacturer based on the planet Dornea[1] in the Outer Rim Territories.[2] The conglomerate constructed a number of warships for the independent Dornean Navy, which had been waging its own private war against the Galactic Empire during the larger Galactic Civil War.[1]

A Braha'tok-class gunship

Among the ships produced by the conglomerate for the Dornean Navy were the anti-starfighter Braha'tok-class gunships, which were designed specifically for space warfare. At ninety meters long, the Braha'tok-class gunship had an armament of eight double turbolaser cannons and eight concussion missile launchers, and was crewed by seventy-five individuals. The gunship came equipped with fire control, maneuvering, and command capabilities, all of which were centralized in the crescent-shaped bridge. In 4 ABY, the Dornean Navy lent the Alliance to Restore the Republic a pair of Braha'tok-class gunships—the Braha'tok and the Torktarak—for the Alliance's assault on the Empire's second Death Star[1] under construction over the Forest Moon of Endor.[3]

Behind the scenes

The Dornean Braha'ket Fleetworks Conglomerate's only mention in Star Wars canon was in Ello137's winning entry for the Braha'tok-class gunship in the StarWars.com Hyperspace contest What's The Story? The contest allowed fans to provide the backstory for certain aspects of the Star Wars universe.
