The Dornean Navy was the space defense fleet of the planet Dornea and the Dornean people.

Although it contained just eighty relatively small capital ships, the Dornean Navy successfully resisted the aggression of the Galactic Empire.

Just prior to the Battle of Endor, the Alliance to Restore the Republic contacted the Dornean Navy to request help in their upcoming battle. The Navy responded by covertly sending its two new Braha'tok-class gunships, Braha'tok and Torktarak. Kiles L'toth, commander of the Braha'tok, subsequently retired from the Dornean Navy, whereas Torktarak's commanding officer, Etahn A'baht was promoted to General and continued to serve in the New Republic Defense Force.

The Dornean Navy was notable for using ranks that were rendered according to army usage in Galactic Basic, rather than the normal conventions of interstellar fleets. For example, its flag officers were graded as Generals rather than Admirals.
