Behind the scenes
Edit
Dorovio Bold started out as an unnamed pilot filmed for Return of the Jedi. No footage of the actress in the cockpit made the final cut, though she may be present in the briefing room aboard Home One. Her photo was revealed years later on StarWars.com's Hyperspace, and she was later named in The Complete Visual Dictionary.
Author Ryder Windham named "Dorovio" for his daughters Dorothy and Violet. Windham has suggested she may be the daughter of his character, Nella Bold, though that has not been made official.[source?]
A Dorovio Bold action figure was included as part of an 'Evolutions' three-pack of Rebel pilots in 2008.
