The Dragon Troopers were Warlord Delurin's personal army. They were all members of the Bormterran species, and were presented with ornate yet frightening armor designed to make them look like armored dragons of legend. They were not totally comfortable with powered ranged weapons or other technology, but they were fearsome melee warriors.
