Drazin was a stormtrooper corporal assigned to Commander Igar's honor guard by the year 4 ABY. He accompanied Darth Vader when the Galactic Empire took control of Cloud City in 3 ABY with the goal of capturing Luke Skywalker. There in a back room he shot C-3PO, who inadvertently discovered the Imperial forces, in order to prevent the droid from blowing the cover of him and his teammates; following the standard Imperial procedure of shooting first, and asking questions later. A year later, Drazin was assigned to Tempest Force, and participated in the Battle of Endor.

Behind the scenes

In the popular non-canon comic series Tag and Bink, Drazin's appearance in Empire Strikes Back in the back room is retconned into Tag and Bink hiding in there, and they shot C-3PO for payback because of him getting them captured years earlier on the Tantive IV.
