The Dressia system was located in the Northern Dependencies portion of[2] the Colonies.[1] It shared its name with the Dressian Kiolsh Merchant Bank, a bank with vaults located on[3] the Outer Rim Territories planet[2] Mygeeto.[3]

The Dressia system was introduced in the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas, written by Daniel Wallace and Jason Fry, which placed it in grid square L-8.[2]
