A species of plant with purple flowers grew on the Sith Empire's capital planet of Dromund Kaas near the capital city of Kaas during the Great Galactic War. A similar plant possibly of the same species was often seen in the possession of experts in the skill of bioanalysis.

The Droumnd Kaas thistle was one of the many plants found in the player areas on the planet Dromund Kaas in the MMORPG Star Wars: The Old Republic released by BioWare in 2011. It is never cannonically named or mentioned in the game.
