Drost Elegin was the Lord of House Elegin in 12 ABY and was considered a playboy and a gentleman who attended many of Emperor Palpatine's private parties on Coruscant. His brother joined the Imperial Navy. Drost Elegin was commonly featured in the Court Gazette magazine.

He mysteriously vanished after taking his family on a vacation and arrived with Ohran Keldor on Belsavis in order to meet with Roganda and Irek Ismaren about bringing the Eye of Palpatine to the planet so they could use it to unite the Imperial Warlords and defeat the New Republic.
After the crisis ended, he negotiated with the Klagg and Gakfedd clans to use them as bodyguards.
