Teta was a former duke from the Empress Teta system, likely a descendant of Empress Teta herself.
Due to countless medical treatments and organ transplants, Teta achieved a greatly extended lifetime, reaching the age of 300 standard years when he attended the Squid Lake performance at the Galaxies Opera House. He married the young Twi'lek Koyi Mateil for her looks – she married him hoping he would soon die and leave her his fortune.
