Dunari's Rest was a casino/resort space station and minor trading facility, located in the Mayagil sector of the Outer Rim Territories.

Owned by Dunari, a friend of the Azzameen family, Dunari's Rest was popular with legitimate traders like Emon Azzameen and less savory individuals such as smugglers and bounty hunters. Even Boba Fett was known to have visited the facility.

Constructed by GrayMor Engineering Corporation under a private contract from Dunari, the station had a crew of 1,250 and could accommodate up to 15,000 guests. Though the station was unarmed, it was well defended, with shields as strong as an Imperial Strike Cruiser's. It was also guarded by an IPV/1 system patrol craft, the aptly-named SPC Bouncer.

Dunari's was frequented by spacers seeking refreshment, and the bar issued chits which were valid in exchange for drinks at the station. The drink chit was embossed with an image of a bottle identical to Zairona Ale, perhaps subtly advertising the availability of illegal substances at the station. In one incident shortly after the Battle of Hoth, Emon Azzameen gave his brother Ace one of these chits after the pair were asked to leave the station for attacking the Viraxo-allied starship Enkidu.

Shortly before the Battle of Endor, the Rebel Alliance employed Dunari to assist in procuring much-needed supplies. Dunari's Rest served as a transit point for these shipments. Unfortunately, this led to the facility's capture by the Galactic Empire in a raid led by Admiral Garreth Holtz. Holtz was tipped off by the Hurrim, who were angered when Dunari interfered in their pirate operations.

For saving the station from destruction and covering the evacuation of the allied smugglers, Dunari gave Ace a luxury pass to the resort, entitling him to VIP treatment. The main Hurrim base and the Star Destroyer Corrupter were destroyed shortly thereafter.

The lighted signs on the top of the station are not in Latin or Aurebesh. The least blurred textures have characters that are recognizable as being written in the Greek alphabet.

An unused radio message included in the first X-wing Alliance mission file that featured Dunari's Rest indicated that the station featured less wholesome amusements. After MK-09 spoke the quote featured above, Emon Azzameen would have said "It'll be great, Emkay, we can all get a nice lube job! You can even get your nuts tightened!"
