Duranium was a tough alloy used in military-grade plating. It was stronger than titanium but less resilient than impervium.[1] It was notably used in the cybernetic armor of General Grievous.[2]
Behind the scenes[]
Duranium first appeared in the Star Wars Legends short story "A Boy and His Monster: The Rancor Keeper's Tale," which was published as a part of Tales from Jabba's Palace in 1996.[3] In addition to Star Wars, duranium has appeared in the science fiction franchise Star Trek.
