Durnar was a Jedi Knight who served the Jedi Order and the Galactic Republic as a General in the Grand Army of the Republic during the Clone Wars.

BiographyEdit

A Force-sensitive being, Durnar was trained in the ways of the Force by the Jedi Order. Attaining the rank of Jedi Knight, Durnar reported to the Coruscant Jedi Temple when the Clone Wars erupted between the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems. Taking up the mantle of General in the Grand Army of the Republic, Durnar survived until the final year of war when he was dispatched to the front lines of Saleucami under the command of Jedi Master Oppo Rancisis.^[1]

During the fighting there, Jedi Durnar was killed in the fighting with the Morgukai Shadow Army and his body was lost behind enemy lines. During the funeral of Master Rancisis, fellow Jedi Sian Jeisel mourned her fallen comrade, along with the others who had died on the battle field.^[1]

Behind the scenesEdit

Durnar was named after a member of the Dark Horse Comics message boards.^[source?] John Ostrander speculated that Durnar was a Yaka and was born in 43 BBY.^[2]
