The title of this article is conjectural.

Although this article is based on official information from the Star Wars Legends continuity, the actual name of this subject is pure conjecture.

There existed in the galaxy a sentient species of stout beings with enormous, fleshy heads and small hands. The renowned HoloNet News contributor Dyslogia Twang was one of them.

Biology and appearanceEdit

A sentient species existed that had a bulbous head and tiny hands. Members of that race were plump in stature. Their heads featured tiny nose and eyes, with a pair of pointed ears emerging from either side of the cranium. At least one male individual belonging to that race sported a goiter-like enlargement that concealed his neck—if he had any.[1]

During the last decades of the Galactic Republic, a male member of that species known as Dyslogia Twang pursued a career in journalism. By the time of the Separatist Crisis, Twang was a successful columnist who wrote a gossip segment for the HoloNet News channel.[1]

Behind the scenesEdit

Dyslogia Twang's species first appeared in Bob Carrau's Monsters and Aliens from George Lucas, a book that was published in 1993.[2] Leland Chee, who maintains the official Holocron continuity database, has stated that information from Monsters and Aliens is considered non-canonical unless reused in later publications.[3] In 2002, the character of Dyslogia Twang appeared in the April 25 issue of the HoloNet News in-universe website, bringing his species into official canon.[1]

The appearance of Twang's species in both Monsters and Aliens and the HoloNet News was based on early designs by Ralph McQuarrie for Jabba the Hutt in Star Wars: Episode VI Return of the Jedi.[4]
