EG-9 was a droid that worked for the Trade Federation aboard the Saak'ak. He and PK-4 disliked higher-class droids and often called them "useless gearheads". When Obi-Wan Kenobi and Qui-Gon Jinn arrived at the ship, they watched as TC-14 welcomed them.

EG-9 had the head of a Temirca droid, a body from a Montoro serving drone, and arms from repair workers.

Behind the scenes

EG-9, along with PK-4, was deleted from the final movie. However, they were scripted and their conversation was included in the Terry Brooks novelization of the film.
