EG droids were assassin droids specially programed to kill Jedi and used by the Confederacy of Independent Systems for covert operations during the Clone Wars.

OverviewEdit

The droid appeared to be roughly humanoid in shape, with skeletal features similar to that of Grievous. Its helmeted head contained two red photoreceptors and its body was coated in red color. Its qualities included incredible speed, dexterity, and the ability to wield two lightsabers with perfect form.

HistoryEdit

As the Clone Wars raged on between the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy, Jedi General Anakin Skywalker was dispatched on a mission to destroy a critical droid factory used by the Separatists. While on the mission, he encountered the EG-5 Jedi Hunter droid that was guarding the facility. After a fierce duel between the two, Skywalker was successful in defeating the EG droid by slicing into its shoulder whereupon he unleashed a number of slashes after which he threw the machine into an electrode which caused the droid to explode.

During the crisis involving a Separatist Superweapon, a number of further EG droids were deployed by the Confederacy. These included EG-01, EG-02, EG-03, EG-04, EG-06 and EG-07 though all were destroyed by Republic forces.
